5. Romantic Fairy Light and Hoop Chandeliers
Lighting is one of the most powerful tools for transforming a plain venue into a magical, romantic space. While hiring professional lighting designers can be incredibly expensive, you can easily create your own romantic fairy light and hoop chandeliers. These hanging installations draw the eye upward, making high ceilings feel cozy and intimate, and casting a soft, enchanting glow over the entire dance floor or dining area.
To build these chandeliers, start with lightweight wooden hula hoops or metal floral hoops. Spray paint the hoops in a metallic gold, silver, or matte black finish to match your wedding palette. Once dry, wrap delicate, battery-operated warm white LED copper wire fairy lights tightly around the circumference of each hoop. To add a botanical touch, use floral wire to attach faux or fresh eucalyptus garland, ivy, or delicate ferns along the top of the hoop, letting some tendrils hang down naturally. Suspend the chandeliers from the ceiling using strong, clear monofilament fishing line or decorative velvet ribbons.
