8. Upcycled Book Page Wreaths

8
Give damaged, discarded books a beautiful second life by transforming their weathered pages into a stunning, vintage-inspired wreath. The warm, aged patina of old book paper combined with the clean, structured lines of the folded pages creates a rustic yet elegant home accessory that looks beautiful hanging over a fireplace, on an interior door, or as a centerpiece on a dining table.

Start with a flat cardboard or foam wreath form. Tear several dozen pages from an old book, ensuring you use books that are already damaged beyond repair. Roll each page into a loose cone shape, securing the outer edge with a dab of hot glue. Glue these paper cones in concentric circles around your wreath form, starting from the outer edge and working your way toward the center. Overlap each layer slightly to cover the base completely and build volume. The feathered, text-covered edges of the cones create a gorgeous, ruffled texture that resembles a blooming dahlia. You can leave the wreath natural, or lightly brush the edges with metallic gold paint for an extra touch of sophistication.
