6. Pom Pom Magnets: Fridge Art with a Twist

6
Turn the fridge into a rotating art gallery with pom pom magnets. These are easy to make and give kids a sense of pride every time they see their creations on display. Start by making small pom poms, then glue them to flat, round magnets (available at craft stores) or self-adhesive magnet sheets. For extra creativity, turn the pom poms into mini characters by adding faces or accessories.

Materials: Yarn, pom pom maker, scissors, glue, flat magnets or magnet sheets, googly eyes (optional), felt (optional).

Time: 15–30 minutes.

Difficulty: Very easy.

Kids can make pom pom food magnets (like tiny pizzas, cupcakes, or fruits) by shaping the pom poms with felt details. Or create a family of pom pom people with different colors for each member. For a seasonal touch, make pom pom snowmen in winter or pom pom pumpkins in fall.

Display suggestion: Use them to hold up school papers, photos, or shopping lists on the fridge.
