5. Blush-and-Black Halloween Mantel
If you decorate only one spot this Halloween, make it the mantel — and make it blush and black. This high-contrast palette is the heart of the spooky chic look: soft pink pumpkins and florals against inky black candlesticks, with a bat garland swooping across the front edge.
What You’ll Need
- Blush, cream, and dusty rose pumpkins (7-9, various sizes)
- 3-5 black candlesticks with white or blush taper candles
- 1 black paper bat garland
- Dried branches, pampas grass, or dark autumn stems
- Optional: small black picture frame or skull accent
How to Make
- Place candlesticks at the back of the mantel, tallest in the center.
- Arrange pumpkins in front of the candles, largest in the middle and smaller toward the ends.
- Tuck dried branches behind the pumpkins for height and drama.
- Drape the bat garland along the front edge of the mantel, letting it swag gently.
- Add one small black accent off-center and light the candles in the evening.
