2. Cork Coasters with Personalized Touches

2
Coasters are one of the simplest yet most useful wine cork crafts. They protect your furniture while adding a handmade element to your coffee table or bar cart. The best part? You can customize them with initials, patterns, or even a bit of paint for a pop of color.

Materials: Wine corks, a sharp craft knife, waterproof glue (like E6000), cork backing or felt pads, acrylic paint (optional), paintbrushes, and stencils (optional).

Instructions: For round coasters, slice corks into ¼-inch thick discs. You’ll need about 12–15 discs per coaster, depending on the size. Arrange the discs in a circular pattern on a flat surface, then glue them together. Let dry completely. For a polished look, glue a piece of cork or felt to the bottom. If you want to add design, paint the tops of the corks before gluing—try ombré shades, metallic accents, or even tiny monograms.

Time: 1–2 hours

Difficulty: Beginner

Customization: Use different shapes like hexagons or squares for a modern twist. Etch designs into the corks with a wood-burning tool for a rustic touch.

Display Suggestion: Group a set of four on a tray with a bottle of wine for a cozy vignette.
