2. Cinnamon Stick Candle Wraps

Few projects deliver this much cozy scent for so little effort. Grab a bundle of cinnamon sticks, some jute twine, a rubber band, and a plain pillar candle or glass jar candle. If you are using a real flame, wrap the jar rather than the candle itself so the sticks never sit near the wick.
Stretch the rubber band around the candle to hold the sticks in place while you work, arranging them side by side around the circumference. Once the ring is full, tie twine around the middle in a few tight loops and finish with a small bow. Remove the rubber band, and tuck in a star anise pod, a bay leaf, or a sprig of dried rosemary for texture.
💡 Pro Tip: Mix stick lengths slightly — some flush with the top, some a little taller — so the wrap looks gathered and natural rather than machine-cut.
Group three sizes together on a tray with pinecones for a dining table centerpiece, or line them along a hallway console. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep dried botanicals well away from the flame.
