2. Framed Pressed Botanical Specimens

Bringing elements of nature into your bedroom promotes tranquility and a sense of calm. Framed pressed botanical art is a timeless, elegant way to showcase the beauty of the outdoors. This project is perfect for preserving sentimental flowers from a special occasion, or simply highlighting beautiful ferns, eucalyptus leaves, and wildflowers gathered during a walk through your neighborhood.
Start by collecting flat leaves and delicate blossoms. Place them between sheets of parchment paper and tuck them inside a heavy book, stacking extra weight on top. Let the plants dry and flatten for one to two weeks until all moisture is gone. To display your botanicals, purchase double-glass floating frames, which allow the color of your bedroom wall to peek through around the edges of the plant. Carefully arrange your dried specimens on the glass, using a tiny dot of clear craft glue to secure them in place. Close the frame and hang it near a window where the natural light can illuminate the delicate veins and vibrant colors of the leaves.
