6. DIY Macramé Keychains

6
For a boho, beach, or modern-minimal wedding, macramé keychains hit the mark. They’re lightweight, unisex enough with the right color choice, and satisfying to make once you learn two knots.

Materials: 3mm cotton cord, metal keyrings, scissors, a ruler, and optional wooden beads.

How to make them: Cut four strands about 24 inches long, fold them in half through the keyring, and secure with a lark’s head knot. Use square knots down the length, threading a bead near the bottom if you like, then trim the ends and fray them slightly. Each one takes about ten minutes after the first two.

Time and difficulty: Two to three hours for thirty. Beginner-friendly with a short learning curve.

Customization: Match cord color to your palette, add a tiny tag, or go neutral so guests of any style will use them. This is a great project for a craft night with your bridesmaids.

💡 Pro Tip: Make a few extras. Keychains are the favor most likely to be pocketed by someone who forgot theirs at home, and you’ll want spares for last-minute guests.
