5. Hanging Egg Carton Bee Mobile

A mobile is a beautiful way to display your child’s creations while adding a touch of whimsy to their room. This project combines multiple bees into a dynamic, hanging decoration.
Materials: Cardboard egg carton, yellow and black paint, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, glue, scissors, string or fishing line, a coat hanger or stick.
Instructions: Create 4–6 bees using individual egg carton cups. Once they’re dry, tie a piece of string around each bee’s middle (or glue string to the inside of the cup). Hang the strings from a coat hanger or stick, varying the lengths for a staggered effect. Hang the mobile near a window or in a playroom where it can catch the light.
Time: 1 hour (plus drying time)
Difficulty: Moderate
For a more polished look, paint the coat hanger or stick to match the theme. You can also add paper flowers or leaves to the mobile for extra flair.
