9. Egg Carton Bee Pencil Holders

Combine crafting with practicality by turning egg carton bees into adorable pencil holders. This project is perfect for organizing a child’s desk or art supplies.
Materials: Cardboard egg carton, yellow and black paint, googly eyes, pipe cleaners, glue, scissors, small container or cup.
Instructions: Cut the egg carton into a strip of 3–4 connected cups to form the bee’s body. Paint it yellow with black stripes and glue on googly eyes and pipe cleaner antennae. Once dry, glue the bee strip to the outside of a small container (like a plastic cup or tin can). Use the container to hold pencils, markers, or paintbrushes.
Time: 45 minutes (plus drying time)
Difficulty: Easy to moderate
For extra durability, seal the painted egg carton with a layer of Mod Podge or clear glue. This will help the pencil holder last longer, even with frequent use.
💡 Pro Tip: Use a hot glue gun for attaching the egg carton to the container to ensure it stays in place.
